Courtice is a lovely town located just east of Oshawa very near the Darlington Provincial Park. Dating back to the late 1700s, Courtice has all of the charm and cachet of a small town but offers newer communities and housing as it has had to meet the needs of its growing population.

Boasting a lovely marina and wonderful parks, Courtice is ideal for those who enjoy nature and like outdoor activities. It includes the Courtice Community complex where residents can use the swimming facilities, the fitness centre or squash courts while the South Courtice Arena includes two skating rinks as well as the Clarington Speed Skating Club. Those who prefer research and reading will be pleased with the vast selection of books and other resources offered by the Clarington Community Library – a branch of which is housed in the Courtice Community complex.

Commuting to Toronto is done easily with either public transportation provided by the Durham Region Transit, the Go Train or highway 401.Courtice is a highly family-oriented town and caters to young families by offering several schooling options for the primary years and two large and well-known high schools for the senior years.

Along with the usual excellent shopping opportunities found in well-established communities, Courtice also offers something special in its Flea Market, which sits on 12 acres of land and is run year round. In fact, during the summer it is also home to a Farmer’s Market where folks can buy locally farmed produce.
With its small-town feel, but big welcoming heart, Courtice is a wonderful town for raising a family, making friends and putting down roots.
